A ubiquitous feature of all magnetospheres is the presence of magnetic field and plasma. Their spatial and temporal variations can be addressed in terms of the electromagnetic coupling between one region of the magnetosphere and another.Outstanding issues of electromagnetic processes in the magnetosphere from the global viewpoint were revisited early this year at the Chapman Conference on Magnetospheric Current Systems. The conference emphasized interregional processes, such as the coupling between the magnetosphere and ionosphere, and driving sources of currents, such as the solar‐wind driven dynamo at the magnetopause.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
