Abstract

The Ocean Science Award is given for “outstanding service to the marine science community. Service may include leadership, management, sharing of data, analysis techniques, or models, as well as facility or instrumentation development. In every case, the service must go well beyond the normal requirements of an individual's job. The individual must be nationally recognized for such service”.
