This paper is a review of results obtained by the author and related to the topological classification of discrete dynamical systems (cascades) defined on an orientable smooth closed surface \({\mathcal A}_g\) of genus \(g\geq 0\). Topics are: 1) topological classification of one-dimensional basic sets via automorphisms of fundamental groups, 2) representation of one-dimensional basic sets by hyperbolic homeomorphisms, 3) structural stability and asymptotic behaviour of invariant manifolds of \(A\)-diffeomorphisms, 4) topological classification of Morse-Smale diffeomorphisms with a finite set of heteroclinic trajectories, 5) topological classification of structurally stable diffeomorphisms with one-dimensional basic sets.
Topological and differentiable equivalence, conjugacy, moduli, classification of dynamical systems, Morse-Smale systems, Generic properties, structural stability of dynamical systems, hyperbolic homeomorphism, Dynamical systems involving homeomorphisms and diffeomorphisms of planes and surfaces, fundamental group, basic set, Dynamical systems with hyperbolic orbits and sets, \(A\)-diffeomorphisms, Homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits for dynamical systems, invariant manifold, orientable closed surface

citations This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 9
popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average
influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average
impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
