
AbstractThe main purpose of this study is to determine the awareness of the Turkish language, foreign language learning and foreign language use of the students of Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences. To this end, the students’ opinions on awareness of the Turkish language, foreign language learning and foreign language use were collected through face-to-face and semi-structured interviews. The scope of the study is limited to a group of students randomly selected from Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences Department of Primary Education. The results of this study are of great importance to increasing prospective teachers’ awareness of the Turkish language, foreign language learning and foreign language use.
