If \(P\) is a polynomial with real coefficients, \(|P|\) denotes the polynomial obtained from \(P\) replacing its coefficients by their absolute values. Inequalities between the norm of \(|P|\) and the norm of \(P\) on a convex subset are studied for some specific spaces of polynomials. The constants which appear in the studied inequalities happen to be the unconditional constants of the canonical bases of the considered spaces. The mentioned unconditional constants in the spaces of trinomials and respectively of homogeneous polynomials are established.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 13 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
