Abstract

Resumen Objetivos Evaluar el efecto de la reeducacion de la dinamica muscular (RDM) en el dolor lumbar, el equilibrio postural y en la reduccion de la necesidad de uso de medicamentos por parte de los trabajadores industriales. Material y metodo La muestra fue seleccionada y dividida al azar en un grupo experimental ([GE]; n = 41, edad = 41 ± 4 anos), en el que se realizo RDM, y el grupo control (n = 42, edad = 42 ± 5 anos). Los procedimientos utilizados fueron la escala de Borg y la tarima estabilometrica y posturometrica para valorar el equilibrio postural. El metodo RDM se aplico en sesiones de 20 min, 2 veces a la semana durante 12 semanas. Resultados En la comparacion intragrupos, el test de Wilcoxon presento una mejora significativa (Δ = –5,07; p = 0,0001) y equilibrio postural (–3,38; p = 0,0001) en el GE. El test de Kruskal-Wallis, seguido del intervalo de confianza, presento respuestas positivas en el GE en el dolor lumbar y en el equilibrio postural (intervalo de confianza = –68,81/–1,89). En la prueba de la χ2 se observo una reduccion significativa en el uso de medicamentos del GE en el analisis intragrupo (χ2 = 44,86; p = 0,0001) y en el intergrupo (χ2 = 55,22; p = 0,0001). Conclusiones Se puede decir que el tratamiento con RDM supone una mejora significativa del dolor lumbar y del equilibrio postural de los trabajadores industriales, asi como una reduccion del uso de medicamentos.
