Since the sine and cosine functions and the hyperbolic sine and cosine functions are particular cases of Bessel and modifed Bessel functions, the author extends the inequality \(\cosh x-1\), where \(\Gamma\) is Euler gamma function and \(I_{p}(x)\) is the modified Bessel function of first kind. Some properties and inequalities satisfied by \(G_{p}(x)\) are proved in order to improve some known results and to present some new inequalities involving Bessel functions of the first kind.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 49 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% |
