Abstract

to reduce the deficit and promised political reforms starting in 2012. The gender composition of the cabinet and the Chamber’s leadership received attention. For the first time in Czech history a woman, Miroslava N emcova (ODS), is the chair of the Chamber of Deputies. Further, two of the three vice-chair positions are held by women: Vlasta Parkanova (TOP 09) and Kate rina Klasnova (VV). In contrast, PM Ne cas’s 14member cabinet is comprised exclusively ofmen.
