In this paper, we propose the three sub-optimal precoded single-mode joint generalized spatial modulation (SM-JGSM) constellation designs for high correlated indoor multi-input multi-output visible light communication (MIMO-VLC) channels. SM-JGSM constellation sets obtained using these computationally efficient iterative design algorithms offer different performance gains which depend on their maximum achievable minimum Euclidean distance (ED). Through the simulation results, we finally highlight the symbol error ratio (SER) performance improvement achieved by the proposed precoded SM-JGSM constellations over SM-JGSM constellations with no precoding for high correlated indoor MIMO-VLC channel. The results also provide the potential application of VLC in the areas of radio and satellite communication networks.
