The test data have shown that an addition of 3% cobalt to the Ti-6Al-4V alloy did not have an unfavorable influence on the workability of the alloy. Concerning hardenability, an increase in strength of about 25 kg/mm2 (35.6 ksi) was obtained without affecting ductility. Thermal stability remained unaffected up to temperatures of about 400°C (752°F).
