The BITE software package is described which is designed for the analysis of multivariate survival data. BITE is based on hierarchical Bayes models and Markov Chain Monte Carlo techniques. Analysis of heart transplant data is considered as an example.
censoring, multivariate survival analysis, Bayesian inference, hierarchical Bayes model, Estimation in survival analysis and censored data, Markov Chain Monte Carlo, Software, source code, etc. for problems pertaining to statistics, Applications of statistics to biology and medical sciences; meta analysis

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 10 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
