Abstract

An integrated starter generator (ISG) will be able to meet the increasing demand for electric energy in future cars. Known structures based on the induction or on the synchronous machine have certain disadvantages according to the winding technology or the costs of permanent magnets. Reluctance machine fulfil the demands for high power output and low system costs.
