Abstract

With the “Vehicle State Estimator VSE module”, TNO offers a solution for integrated active safety. Relevant driving conditions and critical situations for active (safety) control systems are monitored and detected. The VSE is a first step towards brand independent tuning. Its generic design can be used easily across vehicles in a product line, reducing development effort and cost. The very small code footprint of the VSE and the limited number of application parameters offer a solution for very little additional costs.
