Abstract

The major challenge is to reduce the power consumption in the vehicle in such a manner that the customer does not notice. It is possible to take a step closer to this goal by using bistable relays with a low power consumption that do not consume any holding current, Tyco Electronics explains. In addition, monostable relays used in innovative applications, e.g. the HCR 200 and the SPR, can also make a valuable contribution to reducing the pressure on the environment and conserving natural resources.
