Undergraduate medical education has to change to prepare medical doctors to meet the needs of elderly and patients with chronic disease.The nursing home has proved to be an important and successful setting for the teaching of historytaking and physical examination skills, but also to explore medical conditions of older patients and those with chronic disease with their multiple en complex medical problems. In the recently developed bachelor-master curriculum of the Radboud University Medical Centre we therefore introduce several new undergraduate courses.We need the collaboration of many nursing home physicians.
