Fruit of quince cultivars (Cydonia oblongaMill.),collected from several sites in Western Turkey, are described. Fruit characteristics are given for eight cultivars and their variation in five other cultivars is described. Distribution, nomenclature and production methods are discussed in relation to programs for collection and conservation of fruit germ plasm.
