
Using an apparatus previously described, measurements of the number of gaps\(\bar n\), total length of gaps\(\bar x\), mean gap length\(\bar w = \bar x/\bar n\), and number of « long » gaps\(\bar n_{\varepsilon ^. } \), were made on a large number of tracks.
