Untersuchung einiger wichtiger Holzeigenschaften der bolivianischen Podocarpus parlatorei (Pilger)

Abstract

An Material von 5 Baumen der Podocarpus parlatoret (Pilger) aus der bolivianischen Provinz Ayopaya wurden einige technisch wichtige Holzeigenschaften untersucht, uber die bisher kaum Kenntnisse vorliegen. Die Baumart ist fur Aufforstungsprojekte vorgesehen. Bei einer mittleren Darrdichte vonr o=0,515 g/cm3 und technologisch gunstiger Fasermorphologie zeigt das Holz befriedigende bis gute physikalisch-mechanische Eigenschaften, allerdings eine vergleichsweise geringe Schlagzahigkeit. Das Fehlen eines dunklen Kerns sowie von Harzkanalen ist in technischer Hinsicht positiv zu werten. Baumartentypische Zwieselbidung, Abholzigkeit und eine verhaltnismasig starke Astigkeit bringen gewisse Einschrankungen der Verwertungsmoglichkeiten mit sich, die jedoch der Verwendung des Holzes im bolivianischen Herkunftsland kaum entgegenstehen durften.
