In this paper we give the weak formulation for the static boundary value problem of an elastic homogeneous and isotropic Cosserat surface and we prove the existence of solutions when the displacement of the surface in the tangent plane is assigned along the whole boundary. The well position of the problem is ensured by some inequalities involving the coefficients of the operator and the boundary data.
