Hiltner with his two-way, dialogical theology raises questions about the general adequacy of the two main options (Barth and Tillich) in theology today. Barth, it seems, has denied at least in his system an organic relationship of logic-centered and operation-centered theology. Therefore, at least in these latter days, he does not address himself adequately to the serious questions being raised both inside and outside the Church, the problems of daily life.
