A theory of mobile dislocation density in creep has been suggested which takes into account the mobilization of dislocations with the assistance of thermal activation. The values of mobile dislocation density as determined by means of the theory from the creep and structure data (for Al-Mg alloys) are in good correspondence with results of direct observation of mobile dislocation density in HVEM.
