Abstract

The effect of Nystatin (Mycostatin) on colonization of microfungi from mixed soil inocula was studied on nutrient agar plates supplemented with its various concentration. It was discovered that at its highest concentration only Penicillia could colonise the agar discs. It is a new suggestive technique for isolation of Penicillia from soil.
