Abstract

The paper provides a calculation for the Browder-Livesay groups \(LN_ *( \pi \to G)\) for a finite abelian 2-group \(G\), here \(\pi\) is an index two subgroup. In case \(G \cong \pi \oplus \mathbb{Z} / 2\) the calculation was known since [\textit{C. T. C. Wall}, Surgery on compact manifolds (1970; Zbl 0219.57024)], and for the cases studied by the author the result had been obtained previously by different methods. Two of the three cases to be considered are treated in [\textit{Yu. V. Muranov} and \textit{A. F. Kharshiladze}, Izv. Akad. Nauk BSSR, Ser. Fiz.-Mat. Nauk 1988, No. 4, 25- 30 (1988; Zbl 0647.57024)].
