1. The kinematic parameters of motion of sand have been obtained for a subsurface electric explosion. 2. It has been shown that there is no qualitative difference in the nature of the motion of the sand following electric and chemical explosions; however, a chemical explosion is a more powerful source for mechanical action than an electric explosion of the same energy. 3. In the range of energies and distances investigated it has been found that electric explosions of different energies are similar. 4. It was impossible to make the wave patterns for chemical and electric explosions coincide completely, i.e., there is no similarity between electric and chemical explosions in terms of energy. However, the patterns of motion for electric and chemical explosions coincide with an error of not more than 35% in the value of the mass velocity when a TNT equivalent of electric explosion ν=0.3 is introduced.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
