1. Burning of Al−Si-alloys which develops as coalescence of silicon is due to development of silicon and hydrogen atom diffusion, i.e., permanent impurities in aluminum alloys. The rate of the process is governed by hydrogen content. 2. The more hydrogen Silumin contains the less is the effect of external influences (temperature, soaking time) causing burning.
