1. The presence of titanium nitrides in steel 15KhGNTA prevents formation of large grains by coalescence in the first temperature range of austenite grain growth (950–1050°C). 2. The reduction in the concentration of nitrides is small after VAR and ESR, although the reduction is sufficient to prevent coalescence of grains in the first temperature range. 3. EBR sharply reduces the concentration of nitrides, and large grains are formed by coalescence in the range of 950–1050°C, and more intensive grain growth also occurs at 1250°C.
