Abstract

In this article several compounds with unusual ring systems are surveyed briefly. Saturated and unsaturated monocyclic compounds, polycyclic compounds, and unconventional aromatic systems are covered. The reasons for the interest of organic chemists in the unusual ring systems are discussed.
