Abstract

A sex-linked ring of four multiple has been identified at male meiosis in 21 African species of Termitidae. Since this ring occurs only in the males it is clear that it represents a multiple sex chromosome system of the X1X2Y1Y2♂∶X1X1X2X2♀ type.
