Abstract

An einem Untersuchungsgut von 500 Personen, darunter 76 Familien mit 133 Kindern, 22 mono- und 17 dizygote Zwillingspaare, wurden Lippenabdrucke zum Studium der Variabilitat und der genetischen Grundlagen der Furchenmuster im Bereich der Schleimhautlippen des Menschen angefertigt. Bei Zugrundelegung von 4 Musterklassen mit unterschiedlicher Verzweigung der Furchen fanden sich an der Oberlippe haufiger verzweigte, an der Unterlippe uberwiegend einfache Muster. Etwa ein Drittel der Lippenabdrucke zeigte wirbelartige Figuren—an der Oberlippe einfach und median, an der Unterlippe doppelt und paramedian. Eine weitgehende Umweltstabilitat der Lippenmuster war aus Untersuchungen uber die Dauer mehrerer Monate zu schliesen. Die Befunde an Zwillingen, Familien und Mutter-Kind- bzw. Vater-Kind-Verbindungen erwiesen eine uberwiegend genetische Basis der Lippenfurchen. Uber erste Anwendungen der Cheiloskopie fur genetische Untersuchungen (Abstammungsdiagnose) wird berichtet.
