</script>The quality of education must in the end be evaluated by the destiny of the students. Do they develop in the directions we hope for? Do we know what we are hoping for? This paper is a case study of how different ideas about quality in Masters theses has been debated and experimented with. The connection between ideas about quality and different ideas of education objectives is examined.
