The aim of this chapter is to describe the requirements for successful teaching and the corresponding criteria for professional behavior. It illustrates the framing of theoretical assumptions, insights and examples from the BA Social Work lecturers at the University of Sulaimani, concerning the role, attitude and attributes for lecturers. These characteristics for successful teaching are outlined. Furthermore, this chapter explores why these qualifications are important, as well as the different levels of qualification, characteristics and willingness of the teachers. Finally, three steps of successful professional teaching are presented.
