Abstract

Computers are an integral part of astrophotography and perform a wide range of tasks. Anyone with poor computer skills soon learns either to develop them or find a hobby other than astrophotography. While computers are required for processing our digital images, they also can greatly facilitate the other aspects of astrophotography from identifying objects to photograph to printing out beautiful images to frame and hang on a wall for all to enjoy. All in all, the role of the computer is extensive. Some of the tasks they do for us are:
