
The lack of necessary data, using irrelevant or unreliable information can lead to ineffective management decisions. Analysis of business activity allows obtaining the necessary, timely and reliable quantitative and qualitative characteristics of it, which is currently the most important tool for successful business management that increases its efficiency. In the article, the business activity of the organization is considered in 8 areas: marketing, investment, innovation, production, finances, ecology, socio-economics and management. The main sources of information for assessing the identified areas of business activity are identified and the matrix of the information system of the business activity of the enterprise under the conditions of automated information collection and processing technologies is composed. Next, an assessment of the activities of five enterprises of the Samara region in the areas of activity. For evaluation, indicators developed by the authors were used. Based on the calculations and weighted average values of the indicators, the main trends in business activity in the digital economy are identified.
