Abstract

Soit \(Z\) une partie d'un espace localement convexe bornologique \(X\). Pour un disque borné \(D\) de \(X\) et le sous-espace vectoriel \(X_D\) engendre par \(D\), on désigne par \(d_D(Z)\) la limite de la dimension de \(Z\cap X_D\cap X_D\), pour tous les disques bornés \(D'\) de \(X\) , puis par \(\dim_H(Z)\) (dite dimension de Hausdorff de \(Z\)) la limite des nombres \(d_D(z)\). Le résultat le plus intéressant est le suivant: si \(Z\) est une partie d'un sous-espace vectoriel bornologique \(Y\) de \(X\), on a \(\dim_H(Y\cap Z) = \dim_H (X\cap Z)\). Ceci est bien une extension de la notion classique de dimension; car pour une injection \(\varphi\) d'un espace vectoriel \(E\) de dimension finie dans \(X\), il y a identité entre \(\dim_H\varphi(Z)\) et la dimension usuelle pour toute partie \(Z\) de \(E\). Le Mémoire se poursuit par l'étude des espaces non métrisables, en particulier des espaces de Silva.
