Estimation of the expected ROCOF of a repairable system with bootstrap confidence region

Authors: M. J. Phillips;

Estimation of the expected ROCOF of a repairable system with bootstrap confidence region

Abstract

AbstractBootstrap methods are presented for constructing confidence regions for the expected ROCOF of a repairable system. This is based on the work of Cowlinget al.(Journal of the American Statistical Association1996;91: 1516–1524) for the intensity function of a NHPP. The method is applied to the failure times of a photocopier given by Baker (Technometrics1996;38: 256–265). Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
