AbstractIn this paper, a method to evaluate array patterns is presented. This method considers all the mutual‐coupling effects, and assumes that the field of an element is the sum of two distinct modes: an antenna mode and a diffraction mode. Good results are obtained for a finite linear‐dipole array. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
