Bresse system with infinite memories

Abstract

Summary: In this paper, we consider a one-dimensional linear Bresse system with infinite memories acting in the three equations of the system. We establish well-posedness and asymptotic stability results for the system under some conditions imposed into the relaxation functions regardless to the speeds of wave propagations.

Keywords

Asymptotic stability in control theory, infinite memory, well-posedness, Bresse system, Asymptotic behavior of solutions to PDEs, Stabilization of systems by feedback, Initial value problems for first-order hyperbolic systems, Long-time behavior of solutions for dynamical problems in solid mechanics, uniform decay
