
In May 2022, UNESCO's Institute for Statistics reported that in 2000 just over two million people studied abroad. By 2019 the number had almost tripled to nearly six million. And in September 2022, the IMARC Group published “Higher Education Market: Global Industry Trends, Share Size, Growth, Opportunity and Forecast 2022–2027,” detailing why the higher education market is expected to grow by 20.37% over the next five years.
