AbstractElectricity (MIC: 7.1 SIC: 931 NAIC: 21121)WPS Resources operates as a holding company with both regulated utility and non‐regulated business units serving an 11,000 square mile service territory in northeastern Wisconsin and an adjacent portion of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Co.'s principal wholly‐owned subsidiaries are: Wisconsin Public Service Corporation (WPSC), a regulated electric and gas utility in Wisconsin and Michigan; Upper Peninsula Power Company, a regulated electric utility in Michigan; and WPS Energy Service, Inc. and WPS Power Development, Inc., both non‐regulated subsidiaries. As of Dec 31 2004, WPSC served 421,159 electric retail and 305,648 gas retail customers.
