In the six years since the first edition of this comprehensive book was published, scientific advances and clinical studies have necessitated the virtual rewriting of five complete chapters. "Principles of Home-Making and Housing" has been considerably revised and improved, with new diagrams and illustrations. "Principles in the Management of Communication Impairment" is a complete revision of the chapter on speech problems. Considerations of simple voice disorders and cleft palate have been omitted. "Management of Vocational Problems" has been brought up to date and amplified. Chapters on the "Evaluation and Treatment of the Child with Cerebral Palsy" and the "Patient with Vascular Disease" have been completely rewritten to take advantage of new concepts.
