Introduction. The issue of forming a healthy personality remains extremely relevant nowadays: both physically, mentally, socially. It is caused by asocial and antisocial manifestations that are spread even among primary school children and teenagers. Bullying, violence, alcoholism, addiction to drugs and\or the Internet also increase the level of signs of victimlike and suicidal behavior not only among teens but also among children of primary school age. It is about the task of ensuring the persistence of the psyche as the most important human organ responsible for managing the processes of adaptation to the environment (mainly social, under difficult socio-economic and socio-political conditions that would be unemployment, material losses, and shortages; due to wars – home-, property- and health loss, break of important social ties; in the face of various natural disasters – floods, earthquakes, fires, pandemics, etc.). Purpose. The article aims to fill in the content and specify the task of forming the sanogenic potential of the individual as a mental formation of the individual with the outline of the creation and formation of the mental apparatus and mental tools of the individual to maintain its mental homeostasis as a resultant effect of the manifestation of the sanogenic potential of the individual in the context of his psycho-hygienic competence and guidelines for practical implementation, which is formed in the parent-child relationship. Methods. Leading research methods are analysis and synthesis of theoretical concepts, modern developments in practical psychology and psychotherapy, scientific developments in the theory of attachment, materials of supervisions with factual, empirical material, webinars furthermore presentations of modern leading experts in trauma therapy, psychodrama therapy, attachment theory for the consideration of the phenomena of the psyche, ontogenesis, interpersonal interaction, and influence. Originality. The scientific novelty and practical significance of the study are that the idea of the formation of the psyche in phylogeny is associated with the emergence of socially dependent self-personality, which appears as a system-forming factor of the psyche in general and self-awareness in particular. It is suggested that the provision of homeostasis I is the purpose and form of realization of the psychohomeostatic function of the psyche, which in the psychosomatic system of the human body can be distinguished from physiological homeostasis. Initially, the system I occurs through the relationship with the mother and attachment to her. According to modern psychoanalytic developments, the mother plays the role of a transformational object, which transforms the child's world into an organized information system simultaneously with an integrated, holistic "self "of the child or in case of insufficient sensitivity of the mother variable manifestations of unreliable attachment are formed. This will influence the further relations of the personality in its adult life, which also correlates with its psychohomeostatic characteristics, and thus with the level of sanogenic potential of the personality. The statement is made about the presence of parental issues and difficulties in ensuring the development of systemic characteristics of children's psyche, namely, the appropriate level of integration of emotional and cognitive processes, reflexive ability, mentalization processes, and symbolization of experience. Parents generally, for the most part, fail to monitor how children self-regulate, self-reassure, which psychological protections they apply. They fail to track and analyze not only internal mental regulatory processes but also children's external behavioral patterns and reactions to the frustration of one or another need, ways to respond to stress, deprivation, etc. However, these mental mechanisms and programs are internal mental tools for processing and responding to stressful situations that require self-regulatory potential, psychological stability and flexibility, which are the components of the sanogenic potential of the individual. Mechanisms of psychological protection and cognitive processes of mentalization, symbolization, and reflection are manifested as psychological tools that serve to maintain psychological homeostasis of the individual, which can be maintained constructively or destructively, contributing to the formation of sanogenic or pathogenic potential of the individual depending on the age tasks of personality development, the context of the interaction with the social environment, first of all, with parents. The typology of needs of the person, which satisfaction can promote the formation of either sanogenic or pathogenic potential of the person is presented. Conclusions. Further research is the task of developing methodological support for the implementation of educational programs for parents and the general public to provide them with theoretical and practical assistance in fulfilling the task of forming sanogenic potential of the individual, especially in parent-child relationships, in which the psychohomeostatic characteristics of the psyche system of the child's personality of sanogenic or pathogenic content are formed.
