Providing appropriate and favorable conditions during the educational process for applicants with special educational needs (SEN) is now an extremely important issue for most higher education institutions. The article analyzes the current situation and identifies the library component of providing a barrier-free environment for students with special educational needs. One of the important components of the barrier-free environment of a higher education institution should be the unimpeded access of PLO applicants to educational information resources. Therefore, this component has the ability and should provide the library of higher education.

Забезпечення належних і сприятливих умов під час освітнього процесу для здобувачів з особливими освітніми потребами (ООП) нині є надзвичайно актуальним питанням для більшості закладів вищої освіти. У статті проведено аналіз поточної ситуації та визначено бібліотечну складову з забезпечення безбар’єрного середовища для здобувачів освіти з особливими освітніми потребами. Однією з важливих складових безбар’єрного середовища закладу вищої освіти має бути безперешкодний доступ здобувачів з ООП до освітніх інформаційних ресурсів. Тому саме цю складову має можливість та повинна забезпечувати бібліотека закладу вищої освіти.
