
The article reveals the problem of evolution of the national-linguistic personality of a primary school student in the context of the modern stage of development of Ukrainian education. According to the results of the analysis of key documents (“New Ukrainian School” Concept, laws of Ukraine “On Education”, “On Higher Education”, “On Languages”, “European Recommendations on Language Education”, “National Doctrine of Education Development of Ukraine in the XXI Century” etc.) concluded that the Ukrainian language today is an important factor in national, economic, scientific and technological progress. The language competence of a young person depends on his/her future professional level, and hence the level of development of the state in all areas: political, economic, social, cultural, educational. Primary school is designed to form the national-linguistic personality of a junior student. The article analyzes the concept of “national-linguistic personality”, identifies its main components; the conditions for evolution of the national-linguistic personality of an elementary school student are revealed; the key tasks which are covered in the basic documents about school and language education concerning education of the junior student as the patriot and the citizen are characterized; the textbook fund on the Ukrainian language is analyzed (the textbook of I. Bolshakova and M. Prystinska “Ukrainian language. Primer” (in 2 parts) (2018); under the conditions of development of the New Ukrainian school. The author’s method of developing the national-linguistic personality of a first-grader is aimed at understanding the language as a national-cultural phenomenon, expanding students’ knowledge about the relationship between the development of the Ukrainian language, history and culture of the Ukrainian people, improving etiquette, studying culture and oral folk art, acquaintance with Ukrainian folk traditions, state and national symbols, etc. The linguistic content line was aimed at developing language and thinking abilities and skills of first graders, including analyzing the language of folklore and art works, literary, historical and other texts, performing creative tasks, editing one’s own and other people’s speeches, forming language ecologist, rhetorician skills. The leading place in this process was given to creative and research activities of students. It is proved that the poetic achievements of writers of Prykarpattia (Yu. Shkrumeliak, M. Pidhiryanka, S. Pushyk, O. Ovchar, K. Malytska, etc.) are important for the development of the national-linguistic personality of a junior schoolchild.
У статті проаналізовано поняття “національно-мовна особистість”, визначено основні його складники; розкрито умови розвитку національно-мовної особистості учня початкової школи; розглянуто ключові завдання, які висвітлені в основних документах про школу та мовну освіту щодо виховання учня як патріота й громадянина; проаналізовано підручниковий фонд з української мови (навчання грамоти, у першому класі); обґрунтовано концептуальні засади розвитку національно-мовної особистості учня початкової школи (авторську програму); окреслено напрями її реалізації за умов розвитку Нової української школи.
