TERMINOLOGIZATION AND DETERMINOLOGIZATION IN THE UKRAINIAN MANAGEMENT TERM SYSTEM

TERMINOLOGIZATION AND DETERMINOLOGIZATION IN THE UKRAINIAN MANAGEMENT TERM SYSTEM

Abstract

Interaction between special and general vocabulary has been the subject of study in the works of many linguists, but these problems still remain relevant and require further study. The article analyzes the interrelated processes of terminologization and determinologization in the system of special units of management. The aim is to study the interrelated processes of terminologization and determinologization in the Ukrainian terminology of management. The task of explorations is to characterize terminologization as a result of secondary nomination and to monitor the process of determinologization in the terminology of management.Young sciences widely use general language to create their terminological systems. The basic paths of general vocabulary for term system of management are characterized and it is proved that terminologization lexems commonly occur as a result of changes in the volume in the meaning of the word. Many commonly used lexems has become terms of management combining with dependent component that narrowed their meaning, thereby term values and common words are delimitationed.Determinologization is the phenomenon of language system, which is a transition to the general vocabulary of terms. The article examines the characteristics and causes of getting investigated terms to common language. Determinologization is caused by the out linguistic factors such as the intense progress in science, the expansion of information exchange, the increase of the average education level of the ordinary speaker and the incredible enhancement of value of the mass media on the background of the growth of international language mutual influences. Appearing on the pages of periodicals and literature, the term stops functioning only in a very specific context, that is changing its function to call a special concept. Thus, a constant exchange occurs between special units of management and commonly used vocabulary, terms become members of the general vocabulary and vice versa, words of general use become terms of management. The perspective direction is the research of semantic processes occurring during the transterminologization in the term system of management.

У статті проаналізовано взаємопов’язані процеси термінологізації та детермінологізації в системі спеціальних одиниць менеджменту. Схарактеризовано основні шляхи переходу загальної лексики до терміносистеми менеджменту. Розглянуто особливості та причини потрапляння термінів досліджуваної підмови в загальну мову.
