In a comprehensive highlighting of the volunteering phenomenon and taking into account the experience of progressive countries, this study outlines definite aspects of the formation of the volunteer movement in Ukraine in the context of challenges of a large-scale war against our country. Special attention was assigned to new motivational manifestations in this area, which to some extent influence the nature of social inclusion and partial self-employment of people, particularly youth. The article used: general scientific methods of comparison, descriptive method, analysis, generalization; systematic analysis when studying the concept of volunteering, as well as when researching the population's inclination to benevolence; historical and comparison methods were used when studying peculiarities of volunteering in Ukraine and abroad; the method of analogy was applied for comparison and explanation of the need for missing links in the system of regulation of volunteer activity under different conditions. On the basis of social surveys, a general assessment of the situation with the volunteer movement in Ukraine under the challenges of the war, the specifics of its activation, the motivational character in the context of not so much the spiritual plane, but the social and economic involvement, was added. This turns out to be a tool, a form of searching and realizing life potential in a crisis-critical period, which contributes to the growth of human life potential, adaptation to survival in critical conditions for the country and for oneself. This thesis complements and develops the labour approach (economic aspect) in the conceptualization of volunteering. The results of this research work are an additional source of information regarding the current situation with the development of volunteering in Ukraine. The study has both theoretical significance for replenishing knowledge in the conceptualization of volunteering, and practical as well – offers and well-founded recommendations to the executive authorities regarding the further development of volunteering as a form of social inclusion and possible self-employment in modern challenges of the war in Ukraine.

Пропоноване дослідження у комплексному висвітленні явища волонтерства, з урахуванням досвіду прогресивних країн, окреслює окремі сторони формування волонтерського руху в Україні в умовах викликів широкомасштабної війни проти нашої держави. Особливу увагу приділено новим мотиваційним проявам у цій сфері, які певною мірою впливають на характер соціального включення та часткової самозайнятості людей, зокрема молоді. У статті використано: загальнонаукові методи порівняння, описовий метод, аналіз, узагальнення; системний аналіз застосовано при дослідженні поняття волонтерства, а також при вивченні схильності населення до доброчинності; історичний метод та метод порівняння – при дослідженні особливостей волонтерства в Україні і за кордоном; метод аналогії – для порівняння та пояснення необхідності бракуючих ланок у системі регулювання волонтерської діяльності за різних умов. На підставі соціальних обстежень була доповнена загальна оцінка щодо ситуації з волонтерським рухом в Україні в умовах викликів війни, особливості її активізації, мотиваційний характер у контексті не стільки духовної площини, скільки у площині соціально-господарської залученості. Це виявляється як засіб, форма пошуку та здійснення життєвого потенціалу у кризово-критичний період, що сприяє зростанню можливостей життєвого потенціалу людини, адаптації до виживання у критичних умовах для країни та для себе. Ця теза доповнює і розвиває трудовий підхід (економічний аспект) у концептуалізації волонтерства. Результати цієї дослідницької роботи є додатковим інформаційним джерелом щодо висвітлення ситуації з розвитком волонтерства в Україні на сьогодні. Дослідження має як теоретичну значимість для поповнення знання у концептуалізації волонтерської діяльності, так і практичну – пропозиції та обґрунтовані рекомендації органам виконавчої влади щодо подальшого сприяння розвитку волонтерства як форми соціального включення і можливої самозайнятості в сучасних викликах війни в Україні.
