The article presents a number of historical and pedagogical works of Polish authors written during the 1960 1980s. It is noted that the development of health education of Polish secondary schools is a multidimensional problem, the study of which is possible by studying literature on general pedagogy, social pedagogy, history of pedagogy, history of medicine and health care, history of culture, history of the region and other sciences. It is stated that the intelligence of Ukrainian scientists in the context of the representation of the Polish experience of health education of a growing personality is a small part, because in domestic pedagogy this topic has no long tradition, so it is too early to talk about significant results. At the same time, the dissertation researches of T. Yermakova, I. Mordvinova and the monograph of O. Yezhova, A. Besedina and T. Berezhna testify to the growing interest of Ukrainian scientists in the problems of Polish pedagogy and, in particular, its history. It is noted that the historiographical vector of Polish pedagogical science in the field of health pedagogy is broader and more detailed, as it has about 150 years of tradition. The development of the historiography of health-preserving educational activity intensified in the scientific space of the Polish People’s Republic in the early 1970s. At that time, the state of national education, its gains and losses were radically reconsidered. The next surge in the activity of the country’s scientific and pedagogical forces began in the second half of the 1980s. Continuing the traditions of the interwar period of the twentieth century, the Polish historiography of health care was filled with works by Ryshard Vroczynski, Slawomir Radyukevich, Leonard Szymanski, Maria Rotkiewicz, Slawomir Wilk, Zbigniew Kravczyk, Kazimir Toporovich, and others. Powerful historical “excursions” of solving the problem of preserving, strengthening and shaping the health of children and youth through educational work are associated with the work of a professor of physical education, a specialist in health pedagogy, the creator of the Polish theory of health conservation education of Maciej Demel. The works of these authors are considered by the author of the article as sources filled with historiographical content, they are based on a broad source base and contain retrospective information about the content of medical and hygienic care in schools, hygienic principles of educational process in schools and forms of health and youth work among children, which was carried out by the then public institutions. It is noted that during the 1960 1980s there was a formation of the problem field of the problem of health education of children and youth, the structural elements of which were: the history of health thought; Polish health-oriented educational movement as a historical and socio-cultural phenomenon, its ideology and social practice; theoretical and practical heritage of prominent Polish figures who initiated, promoted and implemented health care activities; health-oriented activities of public institutions; reflections on physical, hygienic, anti-alcohol education as areas and components of health education; the role of periodicals in promoting health and healthy lifestyles; an analysis of the content of educational programs in the context of health issues.

У статті репрезентовано низку історико-педагогічних праць польських авторів, написаних впродовж 1960–1980-х рр. Зазначено, що розвиток здоров’язбережувального виховання учнів загальноосвітніх шкіл Польщі є проблемою, дослідження якої можливе за умови вивчення літератури із загальної педагогіки, соціальної педагогіки, історії педагогіки, історії медицини та охорони здоров’я, історії культури, історії краю та інших наук. Розвиток історіографії здоров’язбережувальної виховно-освітньої діяльності активізувався у науковому просторі Польської Народної Республіки на початку 1970-х рр. Наступний сплеск активності науково-педагогічних сил країни розпочався у другій половині 1980-х рр. Відзначено, що впродовж 1960–1980-х рр. відбувалося формування проблемного поля проблеми здоров’язбережувального виховання дітей та молоді, структурними елементами якого стали: історія здоров’язбережувальної думки; польський здоров’яспрямований освітньо-виховний рух як історичне та соціально-культурне явище, його ідеологія та суспільна практика; теоретична і практична спадщина визначних постатей Польщі, які ініціювали, пропагували і реалізовували здоров’язбережувальну діяльність; здоров’яорієнтована діяльність громадських інституцій; рефлексії щодо фізичного, гігієнічного, антиалкогольного виховання як напрямів і складників виховання для здоров’я; роль періодичних видань у пропаганді ідей здоров’я та здорового способу життя; аналіз змісту навчальних і виховних програми у контексті здоров’язбережувальної тематики.
