Lingvostilistička analiza i figurativni aspekti tekstova pjesama Vojka V

Abstract

This thesis deals with the stylistic analysis of the lyrics of songs by Vojko V, an award-winning Croatian rapper and songwriter who first came to public attention as a member of the hip-hop groups Dječaci and Kiša metaka, and who has been working independently since 2018. At the outset, the history of hip-hop culture worldwide and in Croatia will be briefly outlined. The linguostylistic approach and the theory of stylistic figures will then be defined, followed by an overview of the character and work of Vojko V. The corpus of poetic texts from the album Vojko i Dvojko will be examined and, in certain instances, compared with the texts produced by the groups in which Vojko participated prior to his solo career. The texts will be analyzed from the perspective of linguistic stylistics, with particular attention to their figurative aspects. The use of stylistic lexis will be explored, along with the ways in which the author employs it to depict the state of society. Finally, the conversational tone, wordplay, allusiveness, and ironic features of the lyrics will be analyzed.
