UJI EFEKTIVITAS DIURETIK EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN BELIMBING WULUH (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) TERHADAP TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN

Abstract

Daun belimbing wuluh (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) diketahui mengandung senyawa flavonoid yang berpotensi sebagai diuretik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek ekstrak etanol daun belimbing wuluh sebagai diuretik pada tikus putih jantan. Sebanyak 25 ekor tikus dibagi menjadi lima kelompok yakni kontrol negatif (Na CMC 0,5%), kontrol positif (furosemid 3,6 mg/kgBB), dan tiga kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis ekstrak 50 mg/kgBB, 100 mg/kgBB, dan 200 mg/kgBB. Tikus diinduksi NaCl fisiologis 0,9% (15 ml/kgBB) kemudian diberi perlakuan secara oral. Pengamatan meliputi volume urin total selama 5 jam, konsentrasi natrium urin, dan pH urin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan masing-masing nilai parameter tersebut untuk kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, dan ketiga dosis ekstrak secara berturut-turut yaitu 0,59±0,20; 2,60±0,31; 1,08±0,47; 1,63±0,32; 2,36±0,26 ml, 1,36±0,11; 3,14±0,10; 1,78±0,09; 2,54±0,10; 2,98±0,24 ppm, 8,0±0,71; 7,4±0,05; 7,8±0,84; 7,8±0,045; 7,6±0,55. Analisis statistik menggunakan ANOVA satu arah menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p<0.05) pada volume total urin dan konsentrasi natrium urin antara kelompok ekstrak daun belimbing wuluh terhadap kontrol negatif. Sedangkan analisis statistik menggunakan Kruskal-Wallis menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan pada pH urin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun belimbing wuluh memiliki efek diuretik yang signifikan dengan meningkatkan volume total urin dan konsentrasi natrium urin tanpa mempengaruhi pH urin secara signifikan. Dosis 200 mg/kgBB efektif memberikan efek diuretik dengan nilai aktivitas diuretik sebesar 0,90 (diuretik ringan).
