Abstract

В данной статье рассмотрены проблемы Американской революции XVIII в. в интерпретации советских историков 1985–1991 гг. Была предпринята попытка систематизации и анализа советской научной литературы, посвященной истории основания Соединенных Штатов. Автор поставил перед собой цель проанализировать тенденции в развитии советской американистики в указанный период, рассмотреть основные итоги работы специалистов в данной области. Как известно, эпоха "перестройки" характеризуется радикальными переменами в общественно-политической и научной жизни страны.
