Abstract

Linguocultural approach to phraseology studies reflects similarity and ethnic specifics of the phraseological worldview in different languages. Phraseological units with somatic components are universal. They comprise the core of phrasicon. Semantic similarities of somatic phraseology include: basic cultural codes, symbolism, universal anthropomorphic and zoomorphic metaphors. Ethnic specifics are determined by diversity in historical background, religious beliefs, nationally biased units and cultural contacts.
